Fall Strikes Hard

I awoke yesterday to snow dusted hills and overcast. It was a beautiful thing to wake up to. Just the weather I had been waiting for. Missoula had been without rain for 42 days, the longest stretch without precipitation in the last 116 years. It's safe to say that we needed the rain.

First snow of the year in Montana

Cody and I set out for streamer fishing after classes. We hoped that the huge change in weather, 72 degrees one day to snow the next, would trigger the streamer bite. The weather did exactly what we had hoped.

After fishing we checked to see if The Lone Bull was still there. The fish has now been there for two weeks strait.

The rest of this week looks great for streamer fishing and the beatis have now started to emerge. Should be a fun weekend for sure.
